Screen touch lock for Android

Stray touches, stopped at the glass.

Touch Guard lays a clear layer that ignores touches exactly where you need it: over a corner that taps by itself, along an edge your grip keeps hitting, or across the entire screen.

How it works

From phantom taps to a calm screen.

1

Grant one permission

Display over other apps is all the guard layer needs. A setup check also explains how to keep it running on phones that close background apps.

2

Find and cover the problem

Turn on the touch finder to see where phantom dots land, then draw a zone over that spot. Or choose the full screen guard.

3

Hold 2 seconds to stop

A steady 2-second hold on the small lock button ends the full screen guard. Quick taps, a resting hand or a second finger are ignored.

Features

Made for cracked corners and clumsy grips.

Touch finder

Every touch leaves a dot, including the ones you never made, so you know exactly which strip of glass misbehaves.

Zones on the glass

Draw, move, resize and tint rectangles. They stay on the same physical spot when you turn the phone sideways.

Full screen guard

Switch off every touch while the app below stays visible. The unlock button fades out and sits in the corner you pick.

Edge guard for gaming

Cover the sides your palms brush and keep the controls in the middle free to use.

Quick controls

A Quick Settings tile, an Unlock button in the notification, and optional Lock buttons while the guard is off.

Straight about hardware

Touch Guard ignores touches; it cannot repair a digitizer. It keeps a failing screen usable until a repair.

Privacy

A layer that ignores touches. That is all.

Touch Guard does not use an accessibility service and never looks at what is on screen. Your zones, settings and PIN stay on the phone, and the PIN is stored only as a salted hash. Read the privacy policy.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Can Touch Guard fix ghost touches?

It cannot repair the screen. It blocks touches inside the zones you draw, so phantom taps there do nothing and the rest of the phone keeps working. A repair is still the lasting fix.

How do I find the faulty area?

Open the touch finder and leave the phone still for a moment. Every registered touch leaves a dot, so the spots that tap by themselves show up quickly.

Do zones move when I rotate the phone?

No. Zones are saved by their place on the physical glass, so a damaged edge stays covered in portrait and landscape.

Why do the status bar and buttons still work?

Android keeps the status bar, gesture navigation and the power and volume buttons above every app layer. If you need them held too, the in-app guide explains Android screen pinning.

Does it need the Accessibility API?

No. It uses Display over other apps, plus the notification permission on Android 13 and newer for the Unlock button.

What does Premium add?

Up to 12 zones instead of 2, several saved zone sets, an auto-unlock timer from 5 to 120 minutes, a PIN for ending the full screen guard, and no ads. Monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase.
